Where do I upload my CSVs?

You don’t upload them to this website. After purchase, download the HTML tool and open it locally in your browser. Inside the tool, select your files using the “Old-site export” and “New-site export” file inputs. Their contents are processed on your device, not sent to RedirectSmith.

What do I receive for $9.99?

You receive RedirectSmith Migration Edition as a downloadable, self-contained HTML file. Open it in your browser to analyze your CSVs, review matches and QA findings, and export a Shopify-compatible redirect CSV. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription or a Shopify app installation.

What should my two CSV files contain?

Use an old-site export containing URLs that need destinations, and a new-site export containing the available Shopify destination URLs. Each CSV needs a header row and a URL or path column. Optional SKU, handle, resource type, title, and priority columns support matching and review. Handle-only legacy rows need product, collection, page, or blog type context. The edition accepts up to 5,000 rows per input and files up to 2 MiB each.

Is the sample CSV the paid tool?

No. The free public sample CSV shows the output format: Redirect from and Redirect to. It contains example redirects, not a map for your store, and is not the pair of source files you load into the tool. The paid download is the HTML mapper.

Does it make changes to my Shopify store?

No. RedirectSmith does not connect to your store or publish redirects. It prepares a draft CSV for you to review and import yourself. Review every row before importing and test important URLs afterward.

What if a URL cannot be matched?

Ambiguous or unmatched rows stay visible for review; the tool does not invent a destination. Inspect the QA findings, update your input data as needed, and rerun analysis. Export blockers must be resolved before a complete export.

Can I use the downloaded tool offline?

Yes. The HTML edition is self-contained and processes files locally without analytics or network requests. You need an internet connection to purchase and download it, and to import your reviewed redirects into Shopify.

Will this protect my traffic or search rankings?

No tool can guarantee traffic or ranking outcomes. RedirectSmith is a mapping and QA utility, not a managed migration or SEO service. You remain responsible for reviewing destinations, importing the CSV, and testing the result.
